More than just a music festival, AMEIRO welcomes visual art performances and cultural exploration alongside a musical camping experience. Before kicking off your autumn with live music, camping, and great company, here’s what you need to know.
First things first, grab a ticket! Three-day or single-day passes are still available. Get yours ahead of time on our AMEIRO Ticket Page.
3 Days, 2 Stages, 41 Performers
AMEIRO 2024 presents a dynamic mix of performances, from powerful songs that get your heart and body moving, to conceptual soundscapes that invite deep listening amidst nature. On the bright, open Sky Stage, you’ll encounter Indus & Rocks’ ever-evolving cosmic sound, Kenji Azuma & Sami Elu’s one-of-a-kind “pixiechord” instrument, and Tow’s ethereal compositions that evoke the spirit of ancient Japan, among many others.
Tucked away in the woods, the Forest Stage will fill with Emergency Oxygen's whirlwind of beats, Lycoriscoris's earthy electronic textures, and Demsky’s ambient reflections of the world. DJs like Sombra, Kotatsu, and Luke Hobbs bring loop-driven house, warm electro, groovy disco, and tribal rhythms. For a sneak peek at the full lineup, visit the AMEIRO Ticket Page.
Art & Activities Space
At the open-air Art & Activities space, you can immerse yourself in the visual arts. Tokyo-based artist The Spilt Ink uses neon colors and black light to bring his “popsick” style to life, while The Nerrd’s interactive prints explore the depths of philosophy and science. There’s also live painting by Fly Surreal, breakdancing from Kasutori, and photography from Odawni Villahermosa alongside many other hands-on activities.
Craft Food & Drink
Much like our artist lineup, our food and drink selections have been thoughtfully curated. Baird Beer brings small-batch brews using native Japanese ingredients, such as the fruity Shizuoka Summer Mikan Ale and hoppy Japan Tale Ale. Nakaizu Winery brings rich, award-winning wines made from hand-picked grapes grown in the Izu Peninsula, perfect for pairing with a variety of festival bites like kebabs, sandwiches, udon, curry, crepes and more.
As you explore the festival grounds, you’re never far from a refreshing beverage, delicious food, and warm companionship.

Q&A with MTM Founder, Justin Sachs
What inspired you to create a music camping festival like AMEIRO?
Justin Sachs: I've always been eager to push my limits while trying new things. I believe that dissonance—stepping into unfamiliar territory—is the greatest teacher, as it forces you to improve in order to overcome any discomfort. For my first live music show, I actually booked a venue and organized the event to support friends who were struggling in Tokyo, even before I had ever attended a live show there.
As for the festival itself, I love a good band and a good show, but I also love nature and being outdoors. A multi-day event allows you to fully absorb the experience without the pressure of constantly moving on to the next thing.
Can you share any challenges you overcame in bringing this festival to life that you're particularly proud of?
JS: Starting from nothing and building the necessary tools is probably the biggest challenge in running a festival. There’s no roadmap nor mentor, and the scope of work is far greater than any show at a live house. I’m incredibly proud of Atsuko, my partner at More Than Music. She rose to the occasion, growing as a leader while managing the event team, identifying the festival’s needs and potential problems, and working diligently to address them.
What are you most excited to experience at AMEIRO this year?
JS: For me, it’s definitely the music. I’ve wanted to try my hand at organizing a festival for years, but was never able to finance one. When this opportunity arose, I reached out to many of my favorite acts, and they were all excited to join me on this journey. The lineup truly represents the best of More Than Music over the past five years, and I’m so excited to share it with everyone.
