Artist information

◾️ ITADAKI◾️

Arai Haruka (Vo) / Arita Chinatsu (Key) / Soma (Ba) / Lyle (Dr)

Four musicians with roots in Black music came together at a jam session to form ITADAKI. Influenced by R&B and gospel, we are a hungry group striving for a tasteful sound, grounded in the unique groove each member contributes.

◾️  FiJA ◾️

FiJA is a singer-songwriter whose soulful voice has earned recognition from musicians both in Japan and abroad.
In recent years, she has served as vocalist for the afrobeats band aTak, and in May 2025 was featured on “Bad Bye,” a track from Takuya Kuroda’s album EVERYDAY.
In July 2025, FiJA released her debut solo album Fragile Thing, produced by LA- and Tokyo-based bassist/producer Yuki “Lin” Hayashi, and released via Takuya Kuroda’s aTak Records.

◾️  パジャマで海なんかいかない (PAJAUMI) ◾️

Launched in 2019 as a solo project by keyboardist/composer Kazuhiro Bessho, the project was relaunched under the name “PAJAUMI” in 2020. In January 2021, it evolved into a five-piece band with the addition of FiJA (vo.), Chloe (vo.), Haruna (ba.), and Seiya (dr.).

Rooted in jazz, neo-soul, and R&B, PAJAUMI built its signature sound around virtuosic musicianship, an adventurous sensibility, and twin vocals that weave seamlessly between Japanese and English — an international, Tokyo-based group with a voice distinctly its own.

After releasing singles including “Blue,” “Let me know,” and “Insecurity” via FRIENDSHIP., the band dropped their debut album Trip in September 2022. They hosted their own festival “PAJAMA PARTY” at Toyosu PIT, and held a special session show at Marunouchi COTTON CLUB featuring Shingo Sekiguchi (Ovall), Tomoaki Baba, and Yusuke Sase. Their music has also been featured in commercials for brands such as KEEN, earning a devoted following among international listeners.

In 2024, the band format was concluded, and the project was relaunched once again as Kazuhiro Bessho’s solo endeavor. Now centered on session-based live performances built around his keyboards and a rotating cast of guest musicians, the project expands further into film and television scoring and collaborations with other artists — pursuing a flexible practice unbound by genre or ensemble format.
