Artist information

◾️ JELISA ◾️

JELISA is an R&B/Neo-Soul artist from Amsterdam who has been growing her popularity steadily in the past few months. She is exploring the possibility of coming to Tokyo in May, with plans to record new music with Japanese artists to be released on Dontaku Records. During her stay, she is very interested in delivering a guest performance, which we believe would resonate well with local audiences and provide a unique live experience.

 ◾️ Osamu Fukuzawa ◾️

Osamu Fukuzawa is a Tokyo-based keyboardist and composer from Fukuoka, known for his versatility in arranging, producing, and supporting a wide range of artists. Influenced by Smooth Jazz, R&B, and Hip Hop from a young age, he creates original instrumental music and has collaborated with renowned international musicians, including Grammy-winning artists. In addition to co-producing major releases, he released his first nationally distributed solo album 0-1 in 2024 and headlined his first solo concert that same year.

◾️ Jun Ishihama (DJ)

◾️

Active since the mid-1990s, Jun Ishihama has been a key figure in Tokyo’s underground scene, delivering the sounds of Hip-Hop, R&B, and Rare Groove with an ear for authenticity and deep musical roots.

In 1997, he moved to New York, where he immersed himself in the Black music community, forming connections with artists like GROUP HOME, Jeru The Damaja, and Rawkus MCs. He also met Daito Manabe of Rhizomatiks Research at the iconic A-1 Record shop—a meeting that led to his involvement in LoveSick, a party focused on sampling culture and Hip-Hop. Under the LoveSick Special banner, he organized Japan tours for Afu-Ra (2000) and GROUP HOME (2001).

Back in Tokyo, Jun has become a staple at parties like CLASSICS (90s Hip-Hop only), JOY NT, R.Collection, and BON-VOYAGE. He’s also played key roles in events featuring DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Large Professor, and more, and has served as the Japan tour DJ for The Beatnuts, GROUP HOME, and Afu-Ra.

Label Information

◾️ Dontaku Records ◾️

Founded in 2023, Dontaku Records represents a new wave of cross-cultural collaboration between the Netherlands and Asia. With strong roots in both Amsterdam and Tokyo, Dontaku connects culture and community through the laid-back, joyful sound of ‘Dontaku’ — a Japanese word derived from the Dutch ‘zondag’, still associated in Japan with rest, enjoyment, and holidays.

By building bridges between Dutch and Japanese artists through genre-blending releases, writing camps and international showcases, Dontaku aims to spotlight Asia’s creative potential and foster long-term collaborations that help shape the global sound of tomorrow.
