Mona Shirakawa is a singer-songwriter known for her captivating voice and heartfelt performances. She began her musical journey by posting English and Japanese song covers on SoundCloud and YouTube, showcasing her versatility.
As a key member of the a cappella group Limerick at the University of Tokyo, Mona gained national recognition after their acclaimed performance of Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” at FujiTV's Hamonepu competition, which led to a collaboration with Universal Music Japan for an EP.
Following her success with Limerick, Mona embarked on a solo career, where she has continued to grow her fanbase by creating original music. She actively collaborates with other artists and has released several compositions on streaming platforms like Spotify. Her music blends pop, R&B, indie, Lo-fi, and soul, characterized by nostalgic melodies, emotive lyrics, and harmonious vocals.
