About This Event

Justin is turning 40 this month, and therefore, More Than Music invites you to an evening at Robin Club with live music, dinner, drinks and great company to celebrate this milestone!

Some words from the guest of honour:

"As I make the questionable leap into my 40s, I'd love to celebrate it with the people who have made the journey so much fun. Time really does fly by when you're surrounded by good people. So if you're free, suit up or put on a nice dress, for an incredible evening, and hopefully enough good decisions to prove that we're all mature adults now. I hope to see you there!" - Justin

Artist Information

◾️ 弱虫倶楽部 (Yowamushi Club)◾️

"The Mighty Weaklings Club: Weak, but Strong"

Always on the run, embracing every weakness with a positive spin, Yowamushi Club, led by Yasusuke Yasushima, continues to thrive with the support of various team members.

Their music, heavily influenced by alternative, punk, new wave, electronica, and hip-hop, blends analog electronic sounds with meticulously crafted ensembles, resulting in an explosion of creativity.

Their avant-garde spirit is surprisingly catchy, making them a force to be reckoned with in the pop scene.

◾️ 濡れ天狗 (Nure Tengu) ◾️

Nure Tengu is the performative alias of Shuntaro Sakuma (also known as skm), a drummer and music producer who plays across a wide range of genres with bands including digda, ZAKINO, NEKOSOGI, and BEATSEX.

Last year, ZAKINO’s new track “what time do you think it is,” produced under the name seiichi sakuma, was featured on a compilation album distributed worldwide by the Amsterdam label RUSH HOUR. The release attracted significant attention, as it included works alongside some of the world’s leading electronic artists, such as Ricardo Villalobos and Roman Flügel.

In 2026, Nure Tengu released music through Nicole Moudaber’s label MOOD collective. A tech house reinterpretation of ZAKINO’s track “Wheel Spinning Mice,” featuring remixes by Francisco Allendes, Ryotsutsui, and Dongurizu, was released built for club floors.

In his hometown of Utsunomiya, he co-founded the collective Kūshin Sai Gakudan (空心才楽団) with longtime collaborators Katsu Arai and endorphin.

He has also performed at numerous festivals and events, including Brightness Music & Art Festival, Re:birth, GLOBAL ARK, Yasakae (弥栄), Harukaze (春風), Inter, WTW, and intention.

◾️ John Nakayama Trio ◾️

John Nakayama : piano / Kazuyoshi Nakatsukasa : bass / Seiichi Sakuma : drums

Pf. Gohto Nakayama, who has participated as a keyboardist in recording and live support for many artists, launched his project in 2009 to explore the possibilities of music without being bound by genre, using jazz techniques to present his original compositions. In 2014, he released his first album, "JNT," which received high praise from various quarters. In 2016, he released his second album, "Forest of Darkness," and successfully toured Taiwan twice, earning favorable reviews from jazzLife magazine. Since 2019, with Kazuyoshi Nakatsukasa on bass, the group has been creating highly improvisational sounds.

Their powerful touch, beautiful melodies, and dynamic, exhilarating sound are striking. The interplay between piano, drums, and bass is intensely immersive and evolves like a living organism, deeply sharing a sense of atmosphere. Their trio performances are both meticulously crafted and vibrantly energetic, creating a captivating and comfortable listening experience. Nakayama, who proudly cites Bill Evans as a major influence, weaves melodies that, while dark, also convey a sense of liberation and light, embodying a lyrical world.

◾️ Luke Hobbs◾️

You’re compelled to continue swinging your body to the tempo as Luke Hobbs emerges from the smoky backdrop gifting the masses with one final set. If you were to visually capture this organic sound on canvas, you’d stand for a moment upon the piece and claim it as avant-garde. Hobbs has an immaculate way of capturing music at its very core, and the result is almost an animalistic blend of big disco, rock, and accidental tribal.  The urge to dance is transfixing, and you surrender yourself.
