ARTIST INFORMATION

◾️ SHOOK ◾️

Shook, the alias of Dutch producer, composer, and pianist Jasper Wijnands, crafts music inspired by timeless forces like love, change, and art. A classically trained jazz pianist and graduate of the Conservatory, Shook blends 80s synth-pop, funk, and anime influences with futuristic soundscapes. His work includes hits like "Milestones" from Better Call Saul and "Always," a favorite of NASA astronaut Christina Koch during her record-breaking mission. Despite overcoming health challenges, Shook’s personal journey shines in albums like Bicycle Ride and System, the latter a synth-pop collaboration with Juliet Klaar, celebrated for its nostalgic yet innovative sound.

Inspired by Yellow Magic Orchestra and artists like Ryuichi Sakamoto, Yokota co-founded the label Far East Recording with Soichi Terada in 1990, shaping the Japanese house music scene. ◾️Luke Hobbs (DJ)◾️

You’re compelled to continue swinging your body to the tempo as DJ Luke Hobbs emerges from the smoky backdrop gifting the masses with one final set. If you were to visually capture this organic sound on canvas, you’d stand for a moment upon the piece and claim it as avant-garde. Hobbs has an immaculate way of capturing music at its very core, and the result is almost an animalistic blend of big disco, rock, and accidental tribal.  The urge to dance is transfixing, and you surrender yourself.
