◾️ aimi ◾️

Born and raised in Japan, aimi is a multi-talented singer-songwriter and emerging R&B artist based in Tokyo. She is recognized as one of the most authentic voices contributing to the evolving Japanese R&B scene. She released her first bilingual EP, "Water Me" (2020), for both Japanese and global R&B listeners.

Growing up listening to soul music and R&B, aimi picked up her fatherʼs guitar and began writing her own music at the age of 16. Her musical style is rooted in the soulful sounds of ’90s and 2000s R&B, blended with contemporary and alternative influences.

Since the release of her EP "Chosen One" in early 2022, aimi has gained increasing recognition in Japan while significantly expanding her global streams. She continues to push boundaries with her music, proudly representing made-in-Japan R&B to audiences around the world.

In April 2024, she released her first single of the year, produced by U.S. multi-platinum R&B producer LEJKEYS, known for his work on Jhené Aiko’s Grammy-nominated album "Chilombo", as well as collaborations with Anderson .Paak, Yuna, Awich, AI, and others.

In recent years, aimi has collaborated with artists such as EMI MARIA, JASMINE, and rising J-pop artist Furui Riho. Her second collaboration with EMI MARIA, "How’s The Weather?", went viral in China and became one of the most popular tracks in her catalog.

Alongside her releases, aimi hosts her own R&B event and podcast, "Detox Lounge powered by R&B Lovers Club". In early 2025, she released her first EP in three years, "Empower.Embrace.", and celebrated its release with her first solo concert at Shibuya WWW. To close out the year, she released the conceptual EP "Tell Me You Love Me Too".
